Phone Calls

We are available by phone twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week.

Voicemail Messages and After-Hour Calls
In order to help expedite your call, please listen to the main menu options and press the appropriate number.

Please understand that during busy times, you may be requested to leave a voicemail with your name, phone number and the nature of the call. Please only leave one voicemail message. If you leave several messages, it will tie up our phone system and delay our response to your call. All messages are retrieved on a regular basis and in the order they are received.

Urgent Messages
Messages left on our emergency line are checked every fifteen (15) minutes. If your call is urgent and is not returned within 1-2 hours, please call again. If you are experiencing a true medical emergency, please dial 9-1-1 or proceed to an Emergency Department.

Non-Urgent Messages
If it is not urgent, such as a prescription refill, please allow 24 hours for a return call. In most cases, your non-urgent call is returned the same day. If you do not receive a call back within 24 hours, please call again.

After-Hours Phone Calls
If the office is closed and you need to speak to a physician, our answering service will contact the physician on call. If you do not get a return call in a reasonable time frame, please call back to confirm the message was received.

Phone Blocks
If you have a phone block, you may not get a timely return phone call from the doctor. Most phone lines in the hospital cannot be unblocked, which will delay your doctor’s ability to call you back. Please remove the block on your phone when you are expecting a return call from your doctor.
